Our Mission

Honduras schoolThe Hands to Honduras program was begun by Rotary District 7870 covering southern Vermont and southern New Hampshire primarily serving the communities of San Pedro Sula and Danli, Honduras, and then expanded to Rotary District 7850 covering northern Vermont and New Hampshire primarily serving in Tela, Honduras.  Tom Plumb, a transplant from Middlebury, Vermont, to Port Isabel, Texas, worked with District 7870 before he began District 7850's Honduran connection and has further expanded Hands to Honduras efforts to Rotary District 5930 covering south Texas primarily serving Trujillo, Honduras.  The program is a partnership bringing together North American and Honduran communities to provide educational, technical, cultural, and humanitarian assistance to the Trujillo, Colon, Honduras coastal region.
